Torbet Financial Strategies
With 30 years experience in accounting, tax planning, financial and business consulting, Lindsey Torbett brings a unique set of skills to clients. An empathetic listener and coach, he helps clients clarify and achieve their financial goals, while avoiding costly financial pitfalls. He is particularly adept at tailoring strategies for financial transitions, such as divorce, business startups/dissolutions, retirement and estate/inheritance issues.
He has been involved in launching several companies, including a community bank, and is an active real estate, venture capital and common stock investor. Torbett is a CPA, a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and has earned the AICPA Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) and the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts (CDFA) designations.
A financial coach and strategist, he has developed unique processes to help clients build financial independence and provide them direction, and increased confidence and capability. He also serves as a financial expert and trainer in Collaborative Divorce cases, and has been trained as a mediator, assisting with negotiations and dispute resolution and as an expert witness.
A co-founder and board member and audit committee chair of Red River Bank, Torbett has served on the Alexandria City Council, the Central Louisiana Community Foundation, president of the local arts council, active in the Kiwanis Club and Chamber of Commerce. He holds a B.S. degree in accounting and began his career with Price Waterhouse in Houston in 1975. He is married and the father of two children, a daughter at Georgetown in a joint law program (MAAS/JD), and a son in majoring in film at NYU.
