Our Southern California home was great but had walls needing windows and views. We designed and built a few faux (fake) windows with photographic views for our home's bathroom, hallway and stairway. We spent 2 years and built 15 different prototypes to get to a wood framed, multi-paned, glass window with an illusion of depth. In 2002, my husband and I started marketing our faux windows on the internet while working our full time jobs, www.backyardview.com. In May of 2006, I made the jump and "re-launched" our business.
